What is Love in Music?
Love in Music (LM) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity organization that has
reached out to hundreds of underserved children from ethnically and culturally
different communities in L.A., O.C., and South Bay areas since May 2007, with
free classical instruments and free weekly lessons through volunteers who
commit to spend 2 hours a week on Saturdays during the school year.
2007년 5월에 창립된 캘리포니아 501(c)(3) 비영리 봉사 단체로 한인 차세대들의 음악적 재능을 통해 타커뮤니티 저소득층 어린이들에게 클래식 악기를 무료로 대여하고, 매주 토요일 2시간씩 무료 레슨을 만 15년째 제공해 온 음악 봉사 단체 입니다.
Volunteer Benefits
Love in Music (LM) certifies community service hours for high school students
and is authorized to process President Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) each year
as required by its bylaws as well as Community Leader Award for outstanding
volunteers. As needed, LM provides letters of recommendation with community
service highlighted in support of college applications. LM also provides online
volunteer training/workshops by LM Music Director twice a semester.
고교생 봉사자 들에게는 커뮤니티 봉사 시간 인증 및 대통령 봉사상 인증 기관으로 포상 규정에 따라 대통령 봉사상 (PVSA)을 수여하며, 봉사 참여도에 따라 커뮤니티 리더상도 제공합니다. 우수 봉사자에게는 대학 지원서를 위한 커뮤니티 봉사 관련 추천서도 제공되며, 학사 운영은 매 학년도 가을학기, 봄학기로 나누어 진행 됩니다. 매 가을학기 말에는 봉사처별 미니 윈터 콘서트를, 매 학년 말에는 전체 정기 연주회로 생생한 현장 교육을 통해 수혜 어린이들에게는 음악 교육의 동기를 부여하며 봉사자들에게는 단순한 연주 능력을 넘어선 커뮤니티 화합을 주도하는 리더십의 기회를 제공합니다. 여러분의 적극적인 지원과 참여를 부탁드립니다.
